You signed in to a shop with Facebook or Google. Here is what that shop received, and how to have it removed.
Shops on Carttrix can offer "Continue with Facebook" and "Continue with Google" buttons. Those buttons go through sign-in apps that we run on the shops' behalf, so deletion requests for that data come to us, even though the shop holds it.
Anyone who signed in to a shop on Carttrix using a Facebook or Google account. If you created an account with an email address and password instead, nothing here applies to you - ask the shop you bought from.
Some shops set up their own Facebook or Google sign-in. If the Facebook or Google screen you saw asked you to continue to the shop's name rather than to Carttrix, that shop runs the sign-in and holds the data on its own - ask the shop.
When you sign in, Facebook or Google tells the shop three things, and nothing else:
We do not receive your password, your friends or contacts, your posts or your photos, and we never post anything on your behalf.
Your name and email address become your customer account in the shop you signed in to, and the account number is kept next to it so the shop recognises you next time. Every shop has its own separate database, so signing in to one shop tells no other shop anything about you.
Signing in passes briefly through Carttrix itself, which keeps only a one-time code that expires after two minutes.
We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you before we act, and we will email you once it is done. A shop may have to keep records of orders you placed for as long as tax law requires, so deleting your sign-in data does not always delete those.
